A 14-year-old who was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night in Detroit is expected to survive, Detroit police said Sunday.

The teen was riding a mini bike when he was hit by a vehicle at 9:55 p.m. at the intersection of West Seven Mile and Archdale Street, police Cmdr. Shelley Holderbaum said in a press conference.

The driver of the car did not stop.

Police who were working on a nearby investigation responded to the crash, as did emergency medical responders, Holderbaum said.

Police have not identified a suspect. Holderbaum said cameras in the area may help them identify the vehicle that a driver crashed into the teen. She asked people to call with information that could help the investigation.
