Toledo Top 64 gave the area’s best boys basketball players the opportunity to play in front of college coaches and build up their recruitment profiles.
Representatives from 28 colleges were in attendance at Scott High School on Sunday and showcase co-organizer Shane Garcia said many players turned heads.
“I’ve been very impressed with the talent thus far and I feel like everybody's playing hard, with good energy,” Garcia said. “I've been happy with the competitive edge, which shows they are really trying to win.”
Springfield’s Camren Jackson was one of the prospects that turned heads. The now junior averaged 9.1 points per game last season and will likely be a leader for the Blue Devils this year after senior Nate Pope (two-time second team All-NLL Cardinal Division) graduated.
