INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation is underway after at least two people were killed and five others were injured in a shooting on Indy's northwest side on Sunday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 2 a.m., officers responded to the 6800 block of Shore Terrace on the report of shots fired.

IMPD said a total of six males and one female were shot in the incident. The two individuals who were shot and killed were adult males, police said.

Investigators say officers found five victims shot at the scene, three of whom were critically injured and subsequently transported to an area hospital. The other two adult males were pronounced dead on scene, according to police.
