The popular suspension bridge in Lynn Canyon Park will close for over two months on Oct. 1 for construction, the District of North Vancouver has announced.
The park will remain open during the work, but there will be trail detours in place and the east parking lot, off Lillooet Road, will also be closed periodically.
For safety, visitors are urged to obey detour signs and stay away from construction areas.
The eastern approach boardwalk and stairs leading to the suspension bridge are being worked on because they have reached end of life and need to be replaced. The work is expected to finish in mid-December.
The district said several other bridge, boardwalk and staircase projects are underway in local parks to maintain their safety and keep them accessible.
