CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - Students, advisors and community members gathered at West Texas A&M University to honor the life of Charlie Kirk.

WT’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter held the memorial, giving people a chance to share stories, pray together and reflect on Kirk’s influence.

For many, Kirk’s faith was at the heart of his legacy.

“One, he was never afraid to share the gospel and that was really the center, the core of everything he did. Even when he was talking politics or culture that was still at the center, and the other one was he wasn’t afraid to speak. He wasn’t quiet, he didn’t have to do anything crazy or special, he just had to talk and that made a huge difference, and I think that’s the legacy there,” said Courtney Crowley, faculty advisor for WT’s TPUSA chapter.
