What a disaster. That could apply to the Saints’ entire performance Sunday. But for now, let’s just focus on the special teams, which had about as rough of a game as a team can have. Having a punt returned for a TD and having a punt blocked in the same game is hard. Doing both in the first quarter seems almost impossible. But that’s what the Saints did to bury themselves in a deep hole. That wasn’t all. They also gave up a 60-yard kickoff return in the second quarter that set up another touchdown.
