ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday night outside a party, officials said.

According to police, officers were called at about 11 p.m. Saturday to the event in the 2800 block of Galleria Drive following reports of underage drinking and loud music.

Upon arrival, police say they heard gunshots coming from a parking lot west of the event, and soon found the victim on the ground in the area with an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim, police say, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. He's expected to survive. The victim is believed to have been at the party prior to the shooting.

No arrests have been made at this time. Police say detectives are working to find out what led to the shooting.
