Itanagar, Sep 21: Tributes continued to pour in from across the Northeast on Sunday as Arunachal Pradesh joined Assam in mourning the untimely demise of iconic singer Zubeen Garg, whose music transcended boundaries and inspired generations.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, along with NDA legislators, observed a two-minute silence here at the CMO premises to honour the legendary artist. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju also attended the meeting.
“From Assam to the farthest corners of the Northeast, his music inspired millions and became a source of immense pride for the country. Our prayers for the eternal peace of his soul accompanied this silence, honouring the joy, unity, and timeless melodies he gifted to countless lives,” Khandu said.
