DES MOINES, Iowa — Make your way to Grand View Christian School and walk down the hill to the Thunder's practice football field. You will come across a team that has moved up the ranks of Iowa high school football. Just a couple of years ago, the Thunder were playing 8-man; then they moved up to Class 1A and made the postseason; and now, in 2025, they are playing 2A football.

Check the roster, you will see two players with the last name Hoben.

Their names are Brayden and Colton Hoben, brothers separated by one year. Brayden is committed to South Dakota State, playing tight end and defensive end for the Thunder. The senior is not only leading the way for his team, collecting 349 receiving yards and a team-high four touchdowns, but also guiding his younger brother to success.
