SAULT STE. MARIE — Jordan Martineau’s hat-trick helped lift the Timmins Majors to a 6-2 win over the U16 Greyhounds at the John Rhodes Arena and a sweep of their two-game weekend series, on Sunday.

Martineau, who scored a pair of goals during Saturday night’s 4-0 win over the U16 Greyhounds, now has five goals in two games, a pretty torrid clip to start the 2025-26 Great North U18 League campaign.

The Majors jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the first period of Sunday’s contest, with Wade House-Sam’s second goal of the season and Martineau’s third of the campaign bookending Alexander Priem’s first tally for the Soo.

Evan Carpentier netted what would prove to be the game-winning goal 2:20 into the middle frame.
