RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Another local tribute for conservative activist Charlie Kirk was held in the Triangle on Sunday, this one organized by the Wake County Republican Party.
Hundreds of people attended the memorial service held outside Wake GOP headquarters in Raleigh.
"He's an amazing man. Stood for great principles, and I'm here to do the same," said Vicki Harry, who drove from Willow Spring for the event.
The event included prayer, hymns, tributes from organizers with Wake County GOP, and remarks from state officials Luke Farley and Dave Boliek.
"In my opinion, it's a turning point for all of us as North Carolinians and Americans to commit to ending political violence and to endeavor in engaging in civil discourse on the political questions of the day," Boliek told the crowd.
