CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - The Canyon Eagles needed a bounce back win after falling the week prior, and they did just that after defeating Caprock on Friday.

The Horns led after the first quarter, but the game was delayed due to weather in the middle of the second quarter, right after Canyon had started to pick up some big momentum.

The second half was a dogfight, but it was the Eagles that came out on top, winning 34-28.

Canyon head football coach, Todd Winfrey, said they knew Caprock was a skilled team coming into this one and is proud of his team for responding and fighting through adversity.
