SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Sioux Falls Canaries heartbreaking loss Saturday night ended their season.

This was the furthest the team has made it through a full regular season in more than a decade.

The Birds knew they had a special group coming into the year.

Mike Hart said, “This year was just a different chemistry, where we kind of just molded and were kind of like, this feels right this feel like the year.”

Jabari Henry said, “Oh that was the whole reason why half the team came back. We tried to do it for the town, the Augie boys tried to do it for their town, because they have their families here and everything so we just tried to bring back the title and we had a good time doing it we just came up one game short.”
