Dallas Cowboys superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb suffered an ankle injury on their opening drive against the Chicago Bears and, after returning for one play, left the game again, this time for good. Lamb was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the Cowboys' Week 3 matchup.

After the game, Lamb said he believes he'll be able to play in Week 4 against the Packers , per CBS Sports' Garrett Podell , and Jerry Jones said team doctors believe the injury wasn't as bad as it could have been (also per Machota ). Fox's Jay Glazer reported the injury is believed to be a high ankle sprain.

Noah Sewell cleanly dragged Lamb to the ground on a carry that lost a yard. The play ultimately did not count due to offsetting penalties. In the process, Lamb's lower leg got caught underneath
