Despite the rain, Ann Arbor community members gathered Sunday afternoon in the Diag for the fifth-annual Entheofest , marking five years since Ann Arbor decriminalized psychedelics in 2020.
Organizations tabling at the event included The Lookout Project, which handed out Narcan information sheets and kits, and Lake Superior State University Cannabis Club , which gave out fentanyl test strips and stickers saying “Legalize people who use drugs” and “The war on drugs is a war on us.”
The event was almost cancelled because of a lawsuit brought against the University by the Student Association of Psychedelic Studies, the primary organizers of Entheofest. When requesting the Diag space for the event, the club was met with denial twice and sued the University for violation of their
