Finals footy saw many casualties this weekend in both codes. The AFL our final four dwindled down to just two, and the NRL went from six to four.

Two games took place this weekend to decide who would be going to face off with the Broncos and the Storm in next week’s preliminary finals. On Saturday night the Sharks played the Raiders in Canberra. After a tight first half, the Sharks went on to embarrass the minor premiers Raiders and knocked them out of the finals in straight sets with a 12-32 victory to the Sharks. Last night saw the Bulldogs go head to head with the reigning four time champions Panthers. But after 10 minutes into the game the Panthers had a sizeable lead that only grew larger as the game went on. Concluding the Bulldogs season with a 26-46 victory for the Panthers.
