Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at an accessory dwelling unit in the Vermont-Square neighborhood of South Los Angeles Sunday evening.
Fire crews were called around 9:45 p.m. Sunday to 1521 W. 53rd St., between Denker and Halldale avenues, where they found flames near another structure, said LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
It took 39 firefighters less than 20 minutes to knock down the flames.
No injuries were reported.
