Yet beneath the glossy Instagram facade lies a more sinister reality for the tiny island home to 50,000 residents. Between 2010 and 2023, 197 Brits died there, according to the latest data from the Institute of Statistics of the Balearic Islands. August and September emerged as the deadliest months. ‌
