UNITY TWP., Ohio - A woman was killed in a car crash in Columbiana County Saturday afternoon.

According to the release, the two-car crash happened at 2:52 p.m. on State Route 558 in Unity Township.

Officials say a semi-truck that was hauling an excavator went left of center and overturned before hitting a 2022 Jeep Renegade.

The Jeep went off the left side of the road and hit a guardrail.

State Troopers say 79-year-old Rebecca Myers of Lisbon was a passenger in the Jeep and died at the scene. Department all assisted at the scene.

Both lanes of State Route 558 were temporarily closed and the collision is under investigation.
