STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) - Some foliage hot spots are already hopping with tourists.

In Stowe, early birds are checked in to hotels and taking to the mountains for leaf peeping.

One tour group is wrapping up a ten-day cycling trip around Vermont—their backdrop: Vermont’s rapidly changing landscape.

“It’s turning every day. Every day, we’re seeing more and more colors. It started out pretty green last week, but now every tree is turning,” said Amber Toole of Indiana.

Stowe was bustling with tourists who traveled from around the country for a glimpse of the early foliage.

One couple we spoke with waited excitedly for months to catch a disc golf tournament among the leaves.
