The Detroit Lions (1-1) and the Baltimore Ravens (1-1) meet on Monday Night Football in Week 3 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's NFL odds around the Lions vs. Ravens odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
Detroit is coming off a 52-21 rout as a 6.5-point home favorite against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. It was a nice rebound after losing its opener 27-13 as a 1.5-point road underdog at the Green Bay Packers. Now, the Honolulu Blue and Silver step out of the division, and out of the conference, to battle Baltimore in an intriguing matchup.
There was plenty go to around for the Lions last week against the Bears as QB Jared Goff threw for 334 yards and 5 TDs, and RBs Jahmyr Gibbs (94 rushing yards) and David Montgomery (57 rushing yards) each scored touchdowns. Meanwhile, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown had 9 receptions for 115 yards and 3 scores, WR Jameson Williams pulled in 2 passes for 108 yards and a TD, and TE Brock Wright (3 catches, 28 yards) added a TD grab for good measure.
The Ravens had to rebound in Week 2, also. After a season-opening 41-40 heartbreaking loss in Buffalo on Sunday Night Football, Baltimore responded with a 41-17 rout at home of the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.
QB Lamar Jackson threw for 225 yards with 4 TDs against the Browns, helping the Ravens cover as 13.5-point favorites and the Over (46.5) cashing. WR Devontez Walker was on the receiving end of 2 of the TDs. WR Zay Flowers didn't score, but he led the Ravens with 75 receiving yards, while WR DeAndre Hopkins had a TD and 64 yards. WR Tylan Wallace also found the end zone.
For the Lions, they won't have many notable players missing due to injury, although starting DE Marcus Davenport (chest) has been ruled out. However, the team could be missing as many as 5 starters with Davenport out, and LB Jack Campbell (ankle), OT Taylor Decker (shoulder), S Kerby Joseph (knee) and CB D.J. Reed (knee) each listed as questionable -- or 50-50 to play.
For the Ravens, LB Kyle Van Noy (hamstring), DL Nnamdi Madubuike (neck), TE Isaiah Likely (foot) and FB Patrick Ricard (calf) are out.

Lions at Ravens picks and predictions
Prediction
Ravens 31, Lions 26
Moneyline
The Ravens (-235) are home for the second straight week, and they have scored 40 or more points in each of the first 2 outings. Baltimore looks unstoppable, and not only because Jackson is making special plays, or because RB Derrick Henry is doing his thing. The receiver corps is deep with Flowers, Hopkins, Wallace, WR Rashod Bateman and TE Mark Andrews leading the way. There are just so many weapons.
The Lions (+195) know a thing about high-octane offense, too, so don't expect this to be easy if you select the home side.
However, PASS as spending more than 2 times your potential return on the Ravens is too much.
- MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: Best prop bets
Against the spread
The lean is to the LIONS +4.5 (-110) catching the points as this should be a tremendous game and one which is a one-score affair.
The Ravens routed the Browns last week, but that's not terribly impressive even with Cleveland's stunning win over Green Bay Sunday. Both of these teams rolled up huge point totals in Week 2. We should have a fun one on tap in Charm City Monday night.
Over/Under
OVER 53.5 (-110) is worth playing lightly. It opened at 49.5 and the public has been pounding the total, moving the total 4 points. While it's usually not advised to be on the side of the public, at least when it is in overwhelming agreement, with these 2 powerful offenses, it is hard to see a potential defensive slog instead.
