MANCHESTER - The Exeter High School girls cross country team had four runners in the top 51, and the Blue Hawks placed sixth out of 25 teams at the Manchester Invitational Large School race on Saturday, Sept. 20.
Champlain Valley (Vermont) won the team competition with a score of 58, while Exeter scored 180 points.
Exeter junior Lexi Paterna covered the 3.1-mile course in 19 minutes, 03 seconds and placed second out of 174 runners. Greta Hammer of Needham (Mass.) High School won in a time of 18:29.
Other Exeter runners include Bri Paterna (17th, 20:08), Molly Kells (41st, 21:19), Izzy Bremer (51st, 21:53), and Ashleigh Maceachem (69th, 22:21).
Oyster River (242) placed 11th, Winnacunnet (450) was 17th, Portsmouth (513) was 20th, and Dover (611) was 23rd.
