Thomas Skinner has hit back at a BBC presenter as furious Strictly Come Dancing viewers respond to his first appearance on the dance floor.

The Apprentice personality, who recently confessed to being unfaithful to his wife mere days following their 2022 nuptials, was matched with professional dancer Amy Dowden during Saturday evening's opening programme - a pairing that supporters of the Welsh performer are far from pleased about.

BBC broadcaster Peter Levy became the most recent celebrity to comment on the Strictly partnership when he posted on X, previously Twitter: "I feel sorry for Amy Dowden....."

Thomas was swift to reply, writing back: "Don't feel sorry for Amy, Peter. She is an incredible woman, a fighter, and we're gonna have a great time together on Strictly.
