WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) -- A 45-year-old Alliance woman was killed after the 2015 Cadillac Escalade she was driving went off the right side of the road, hit a ditch, culvert, and mailbox while overturning several times, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

In a media release, troopers said the crash happened at about 6:19 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, on Beech Street NE, just east of Oakhill Avenue NE in Washington Township, Stark County.

Officials said the driver, identified as Alisha Broad, 45, of Alliance, was the only occupant of the vehicle.

It's not clear if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, stated the release. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash remains under investigation.
