SANTA CLARA -- When it seemed like all the odds were against him, Mac Jones, once again, found a way to lead the 49ers to a 16-15 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Levi's Stadium.

With Brock Purdy sidelined by a turf toe injury, Jones stepped in for the second consecutive week as the starting quarterback.

However, he had to do so without three key offensive weapons as George Kittle, Jauan Jennings and Brandon Aiyuk all were in street clothes while they recover from their respective injuries.

Oh, along the way, the 27-year-old quarterback also aggravated a previous knee injury in the second half of Sunday's win. He was able to stay in the game wearing a knee brace.
