PHILADELPHIA — Eagles coach Nick Sirianni is not mad at Jordan Davis for breaking a rule on the last play of the team’s 33-26 comeback victory over the Los Angeles Rams .
With three seconds left in Sunday’s game, Rams kicker Joshua Karty lined up for a potential game-winning field goal from 44 yards.
Davis, a 6-6, 336-pound defensive tackle, raised both hands to block Karty’s kick, scooped up the fumble and returned it for a 61-yard, game-sealing touchdown with no time remaining.
For Philadelphia, this was a ‘no mas’ situation — Sirianni does not want his players to advance the ball in these situations to avoid risking turning it over to the opponent — but Davis kept running despite knowing he was supposed to go down.
In this instance, Sirianni will let it slide. He knows
