Idaho Solutions is hosting a free lecture on civil discourse at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at the Herrett Center at the College of Southern Idaho.

Keith Allred, founder and executive director of the D.C. nonprofit CommonSense American , will discuss how respectful dialogue can bridge the divide in today’s polarized world and provide practical tools to help folks engage in meaningful conversations on tough topics, according to the Idaho Solutions website.

The event, titled “Beyond the Noise: Why Civil Discourse Still Matters,” is part of an Idaho Solutions lecture series called “The More you Know.”

This will be the fifth lecture in the series. Previous lectures covered school vouchers, immigration and Christian nationalism.
