Tennessee Department of Transportation officials have warned drivers traveling near Nashville International Airport to prepare for traffic delays.
TDOT will conduct lane and ramp closures on Donelson Pike leading into the airport from now until at least Oct. 3. Alternating lanes and ramps will be shut off to traffic daily on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. That means traffic on the highly traveled corridor could be more congested than usual through the first week of October.
"Now that milling and paving on Interstate 40 near the airport are complete, Vulcan crews are moving their work to Donelson Pike," TDOT said in a statement. "This milling and paving work should take three weeks."
