The tragic killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk last week stands as a national indictment of where we are as a nation. There is no rationale, motive, or justification for such heinous acts in a civilized society. In a nation that purports to laud itself as a bastion of equality, opportunity, freedom, fairness before the law, it would be nice if everyone, and I mean everyone, work just a bit harder toward turning the temperature down a notch.
