The Scottish high street has suffered serious blows this year. Rising rent costs to higher national insurance contributions are just some of the reasons we have lost many big names. ‌

From Poundland and The Original Factory Shop to B&M and River Island, the list of closures seems to be growing, while other favourites such as Bodycare and Claire's Accessories have fully collapsed into administration. ‌

The list seems to have grown over the weekend, with the Sony Centre on Galloway Court, Falkirk, pulling down its shutters for the last time on Saturday, September 20 after 22 years of trading. ‌
