The second strike by maintenance workers at the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) began Monday morning, disrupting bus and metro service.

The transit agency’s 2,400 maintenance workers will be on strike for 14 days, but this walkout is more complex than the previous one, which took place in June.

This time, maintenance workers are refusing to work overtime during the 14 days, which will be compounded by service interruptions outside of rush hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
