BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Improvements are set to begin Tuesday at the intersection of Cooper Store Road and Black Tom Road Extension.
Interim improvements will include removal of the existing “Y” layout and restriping to create a more conventional intersection, new pavement markings, including solid double yellow centerlines, white edge lines, and turn arrows, stop bars at approaches, and updated signage to guide drivers through the revised layout.
Berkeley County Government said the work is scheduled to take roughly two days to complete, depending on weather conditions.
“A long-term improvement project continues to move through the design process and is being funded by the County’s One Cent Sales Tax Program,” the county said.
