Wisconsin-Superior volleyball won three of four matches on its home court at the Subway Stinger Classic Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19-20 at Mertz Mortorelli Gym.

The Yellowjackets defeated Concordia-Moorhead 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-13, 25-17) and Augsburg 3-1 (21-25, 30-28, 25-15, 25-18) on Friday. Wisconsin-Stout handed UWS a 3-1 (17-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-12) defeat on Saturday before the Yellowjackets recovered to knock off local rival St. Scholastica 3-1 (26-24, 22-25, 29-27, 25-17).

In the opening match of the weekend, UWS fought through 31 attack errors to win the four sets by virtue of recording 51 kills to the Cobbers’ 38.
