The Los Angeles Dodgers have already booked another trip to October, but questions are growing about their bullpen after another late collapse on Sunday. Blake Treinen, who is the team’s $22 million reliever, gave up three runs in the eighth inning as the San Francisco Giants stormed back to win 3-1 at Dodger Stadium.
It spoiled a brilliant start from Emmet Sheehan, who struck out 10 and allowed just one hit over seven innings. He handed the ball to Treinen with a 1-0 lead, but the game turned quickly. Blake Treinen gave up two singles and a ground-rule double. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts tried to escape trouble by intentionally walking Rafael Devers to load the bases. Still, Treinen, who recently gave a tribute to Charlie Kirk, walked in a run and then gave up another on a groundout.
