OMAHA, Neb. —

After a mostly dry and comfortable weekend, warmer temperatures and storm chances return to start the week. Omaha's Weather Leader has deemed Monday and Tuesday impact weather days with scattered showers and storms possible.

Thunderstorms are expected after 7 p.m. Monday, continuing overnight into Tuesday. The Storm Prediction Center placed much of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa under a slight risk for severe storms Monday evening and night.

Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph are our primary hazards heading into Monday night, though an isolated tornado and heavy rain cannot be ruled out.
