“I see Pyramid Lake,” says a senior, wearing a headset that covers her eyes. A nurse monitors what she and two other residents are seeing on their virtual reality headsets. We may be just a stone’s throw from West Edmonton Mall, but for these three, they are on a tour of Jasper National Park. They see mountains, lakes and forests. And while they watch, they reminisce about their past visits to the national park, sharing treasured memories as they sit around a table.
