New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday accused the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh of orchestrating a “massive recruitment scam” that denies Dalits, OBCs, and Adivasis their rightful share of government jobs while allegedly favouring upper-caste candidates.

Citing specific instances, Singh alleged that at Banda Agricultural University, 11 out of 15 posts were filled by candidates from the Thakur community, with only two going to Dalits and OBCs. Similarly, in the Lakhimpur Cooperative Bank recruitment, 15 of 27 positions went to Thakurs, four to general-category candidates, and just eight to Dalits, OBCs, and Adivasis.
