Port Tampa Bay begins second phase of major channel project

TAMPA, Fla. — Port Tampa Bay is entering its second phase of a project to deepen its shipping channel between the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and Downtown Tampa.

The project will take more than a decade to complete, and spans more than 40 miles.
