Team World has now become the Laver Cup champion for the third time. They maintained their lead throughout on the final day, all thanks to Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz .

On Day 2, Team World won every match, and making a comeback looked like a huge task for the players of Team Europe. Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud tried to narrow the gap by beating Alex Michelsen and Reilly Opelka .

Team Europe’s Jakub Mensik failed to go past de Minaur . They still trailed 9-12 after Alcaraz’s win over Francisco Cerundolo .

In the final, Alexander Zverev was up against Fritz. Before this match, Fritz had won five consecutive matches, and now the tally is six, while in their overall head-to-head record, the American now holds a 9-5 lead.
