COLUMBUS, Ga. - Police responded to an "active shooter" at an Amazon warehouse in east Columbus early Monday before taking his own life, according to WRBL-TV Channel 3 .

Columbus police said the incident began around 4:30 a.m. when a 911 call reported an active shooter at the facility.
Officers arrived and found the suspected gunman outside the warehouse. When police confronted him, authorities said, the man took his own life.
Employees were inside the warehouse at the time of the gunfire, but no injuries were reported.
