The New York Mets are fighting for a postseason spot and will need to play well in the final week to do so.

While the entire team is focused on making the postseason, Pete Alonso could be playing his final six games with the Mets. The Mets will travel to Chicago and then to Miami to end the regular season. Considering the team is fighting for the final wild card spot in the National League, Sunday may have been Alonso's final game at Citi Field.

Alonso did not find a long-term deal in free agency last year. He agreed to return to the Mets on a two-year, $54 million deal that allows him to opt out after this season. After a stellar season, he should have plenty of interest in free agency.
