A man was shot and killed late Sunday morning in Coachella, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were dispatched at 11:37 a.m. to the 85-000 block of Calle Limon after reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to department spokesperson Lt. Deirdre Vickers.

No other injuries were reported, and Vickers said Sunday afternoon that no suspects were in custody. Homicide investigators were on the case.
