Planning officers have refused to grant permission for a former bank in Wishaw to be converted into children’s soft play facility and cafe, ‌

The planning application from JFM ELectrical concerned a building in the town centre’s Stewarton Street, an area which is a mixture of commercial, ground floor units with a mixture of flats and additional commercial spaces on the upper floors. ‌

The bank closed some years ago. ‌

The site was inspected in December 2023, by which time a number of alterations to the shop front had already been made.
