Hurricane Gabrielle will likely intensify to Category 2 storm Monday as it heads east of Bermuda and passes the territory, forecasters said.
Two disturbances in the Atlantic also have increasing chances of forming as of 7 a.m. Monday. It is too early to tell if they will have any impact on the U.S.
Here's what to know.
Hurricane Gabrielle
As of 7 a.m. Monday, Gabrielle was located about 210 miles southeast of Bermuda and producing maximum winds of 90 mph as it moved north-northwest at 10 mph, forecasters with the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.
Gabrielle is forecast to reach maximum winds of 120 mph within a day, the NHC said. State climatologist Jay Grymes said Gabrielle is expected to briefly become a major hurricane with Cat 3 winds on Tuesday.
