It's Ryder Cup week. And there's nothing quite like it. Fans can't get onto the grounds at Bethpage Black until Tuesday, but there is still plenty of action taking place on the golf course Monday.

Follow along right here for all the goings-on as Team USA tees it up for some practice and both captains partake in their first of six on-site media sessions for the week.

Keegan Bradley: 'One of the most incredible things I've ever experienced in my life'

U.S. captain Keegan Bradley and European counterpart Luke Donald held a joint media session Monday at Bethpage and Bradley, who great up far from there in the New England area, asked that it meant to finally be here at Ryder Cup week:

"It feels really amazing, especially sitting next here to Luke Donald. I came here as an 18-year-old kid going to St. John's, played the Red Course as our home tournament, and to come back as the Ryder Cup captain is something beyond my wildest dreams. It's been a really magical week for us so far, being around the guys and just seeing how well they're bonded and being out at this incredible venue has been unbelievable. This has been one of the most incredible things I've ever experienced in my life, and to experience it alongside a friend like Luke Donald, and an amazing team in Europe that's coming off a great win has been awesome."

It's a rare Solheim Cup/Ryder Cup crossover but U.S. Solheim Cup captain Angela Stanford will be on the first tee at Bethpage to support the Red, White and Blue while European Solheim Cup captain Anna Nordqvist will do likewise for her European cohorts. Maybe a Ryder Cup captain will be on the first tee at the 2026 Solheim Cup? Stanford hopes so.

Why is Bethpage a great Ryder Cup location?

Bethpage Black, the most difficult of the five at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York, is ready to shine in the spotlight once again. Why will it be a strong match play locale? Golfweek's Jason Lusk breaks it all down:

What makes the Black stand out? It starts with the heaving terrain. The Black Course tumbles some 40 feet downhill on the first hole, crosses Round Swamp Road, then climbs 35 feet from the second tee to its green. That theme continues throughout as the Black takes players up and down, over and again, sometimes within the span of one hole. The Black’s hills will add particular drama in the closing stretch of any Ryder Cup match.

Ryder Cup format

The Ryder Cup uses three formats over the three days of competition: foursomes (also called alternate shot), fourballs (also known as better ball) and singles. There are morning foursomes and afternoon fourballs on Friday and Saturday. Eight of the 12 players on each side will compete in those matches. On Sunday, it's singles. All 12 players will compete in these 1-on-1 matches.
