The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Monday to its highest amount since June 2, increasing a half-cent to $4.741.
The average price has risen seven of the past eight days, increasing 3.5 cents, including four-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose five consecutive days, was unchanged Saturday and resumed increasing Sunday.
The average price is 2.8 cents more than one week ago, 21.7 cents higher than one month ago and 16 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.752 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
