BENTON, Ill. (WSIL) -- Authorities are alerting the public about a traffic crash which took place on Interstate 57 at the 71-mile marker at Benton on Monday morning.

The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency said the crash happened on the northbound off-ramp.

Emergency services responded to the scene. Authorities inform motorists to use alternate routes at this time.
