STEPHENSON COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — The undocumeted man from Guatemala who the Stephenson County Sheriff's Office says caused a fatal DUI crash in August had a blood alcohol-concent (BAC) of more than three times the legal limit, the office reported Monday.
According to a news release, 30-year-old Rolando Ico-Choc had a BAC of .244 when the Nissan Altima he was driving crossed the centerline on Aug. 9 and struck a Ford Edge driven by 61-year-old Darcy Connolly-Brunner on llinois Route 26 North near Oneco Road in Orangeville.
The crash occured just after noon. Both drivers were killed.
No alcohol was detected in Connolly-Brunner’s system, the sheriff's office reported.
