BEAUMONT, Texas — One person died in a house fire Sunday evening in the 1500 block of Cheyenne despite rescue efforts by fire and emergency crews.

Firefighters from ESD 1 responded to the residential structure fire at about 5:11 p.m. on Sept. 21, 2025, according to a Facebook post by Orange County Emergency Service District One. When firefighters arrived they found a single-wide manufactured home engulfed in heavy smoke and flames.

Fire crews quickly entered the burning structure and extinguished the fire. During a primary search of the home, firefighters discovered one victim inside and removed the person from the residence.
