Georgia football will resume a border rivalry that went dormant for two seasons when the SEC goes to a nine game schedule in 2026.
South Carolina will join Florida and Auburn as the Bulldogs’ three annual opponents, a source confirmed to the Athens Banner-Herald on Monday Sept. 22. That confirmed a report on annual opponents for each SEC team by On3’s Chris Low.
The annual opponents will be locked in for four seasons starting in 2026.
Georgia and South Carolina played every year from 1992-2023 until the SEC did away with divisions to make way for Texas and Oklahoma in 2024. Georgia leads the all-time series 55-19-2.
The SEC will announce opponents for the next four years for each school Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network. The matchups and sites will be announced.
